The writing and overall creation of this record helped me work through many of the issues that I’ve carried around with me for most of my life. I had to take an honest look at myself in order to bring these songs into existence, and it wasn’t always pretty. That being said, I poured my entire heart into this record, and I hope, if anything, that these songs may help other people who might be carrying around a similar feeling in their lives. If I can remind even one person that they’re not alone in whatever they may be struggling with, then in my eyes, I’ve done what I set out to do with this record.

Gone Missing 03:31
Can my eyes paint a picture of disguise? Can I trick them of my lies, before I open wide? 'Cause on the inside, my heart, it pounds. As I slip into the crowd, I lose my grip on what's around. But when the shades are drawn, you'd never know I'm gone. Mmmm... you'd never know I'm gone. Mmmm... I hear you talk, but I'm not listening. I am lost. I've gone missing in my thoughts. Deep within, I fall. But on the outside, I nod my head, fake a big smile, and shake your hand. Fit the profile. When we lock eyes, seems the lights are on. But you'd never know I'm gone. Mmmm... You'd never know I'm gone. Mmmm... A row of lights, they shine down on me, And in my mind, I am only trying to find a place where I can hide. But on the outside, no one knows that I'm pretending. An overload of unrelenting fear and doubt, Is keeping me so withdrawn. But you'd never know I'm gone. Mmmm... You'd never know I'm gone. Mmmm... You'd never know I'm gone. You'd never know I'm gone. Mmmm... You'd never know I'm gone. Mmmm... You'd never know I'm gone. Mmmm... you'd never know I'm gone. Mmmm...

Reverie 04:16
They said, "stay on the well beaten track." "If you stray from the pack, you can never look back." Days can happen so fast. When the sun starts to crash, I reach for the past. I reach for the past. This radiant day dream, it's mine for the taking. My sweet reverie. Dreams, they're a dangerous thrill. Contagious and, still, not always fulfilled. Fear can shiver my bones, and it can force me to grow. It's on me to know. It's on me to know. This radiant day dream, it's mine for the taking. My sweet reverie. And all that can save me from who I don't wanna be, My sweet reverie. Stray from the well beaten track. Abandon the pack. Don't ever look back.

"You'll never make it" is all I've ever known. Pulled it around like it was written in stone. Shake it off of me... Shake it off of me... So tell me, if I got my own pair of shoes, Then can't I go any direction I choose? Will you follow me? Will you walk with me? Standing alone, ain't no need for crawling. I can stand on my own. I can hear it calling. I'm standing alone. Standing alone. Maybe I'm braver than I seem to believe. A raging river on my way to the sea. Will it swallow me? Will it swallow me? Before you can be found, you have to be lost. Willing an able to accept every cost. Give it all to me. Give it all to me. Standing alone, ain't no need for crawling. I can stand on my own. I can hear it calling. I'm standing alone. Standing alone. Standing alone, ain't no need for crawling. I can stand on my own. I can hear it calling. I'm standing alone. Standing alone. My lonely history... It won't choose my destiny. Standing alone, ain't no need for crawling. I can stand on my own. I can hear it calling. I'm standing alone. Standing alone. Standing alone, ain't no need for crawling. I can stand on my own. I can hear it calling. I'm standing alone. Standing alone.

I need a way to ease my mind. Some small distraction from the truth. With all my troubles underlined, It's hard to do the things I'm supposed to do. Oh blind devotion, take my emotion. Suddenly I'm feeling better, And I'm no longer lonely. Lately I don't feel the same. Sedation's harder to uphold. A festering that won't be tamed. It's getting easier to lose control. Oh blind devotion, where are we going? Right into the stormy weather, Where life can be so lonely. An overwhelming appetite, I feel it tangling my heart. I wrapped my arms around the night, And when the morning came, I'd gone too far. Oh blind devotion, you left me broken. I ain't gonna live forever, And I won't spend it lonely. Oh blind devotion, you're not worth knowing. I ain't gonna live forever, And I won't spend it lonely.

Stranger 04:27
Beneath the rain, we used to laugh away the pain, Of an unforgiving day. And in the sun, we used to walk along the lake, Beside your parents place. A faithful friend. The only one I could depend on, To pick me up again. And I needed you more than a stray dog needs a home, On a stormy afternoon. But I never could hear the whistle blowing, Despite the symptoms of rage in love's disguise. So I wandered the streets with no direction. As a stranger, I stand right before your eyes. We used to fight. We used to choke each other's pride. Ignoring all the sings. We used to say, "we'll never let this go to waste." A promise we would break. But I never could hear the whistle blowing, Despite the symptoms of rage in love's disguise. So I wandered the streets with no direction. As a stranger, I stand right before your eyes. And there's a stranger staring right back into mine. But I never could hear the whistle blowing, Despite the symptoms of rage in love's disguise. So I wandered the streets with no direction. As a stranger, I stand right before your eyes. As a stranger, I stand right before your eyes. And there's a stranger staring right back into mine.

Burn Me Down 04:33
Time, it fell right out from underneath my feet, And I was too caught up in you to care. But I remember thinking I was in too deep. Still I never thought our love could wear and tear. What a waste of time to play your games. But in the end, I guess it's my own fault. People warned me not to come your way. That you'd put my back against the wall. Your words helped me float, then made me drown. I hurt every time you came around. You know that you'll only burn me down. That you'll only burn me down. Why couldn't you tell me what was on your mind? I tried my best to help you when you struggled. But you quite breathing, and when I'd ask you'd say, "I'm doing fine." I guess you'd rather dance around your troubles. So try to see how far that you can run, Away from everything that you adore. But keep in mind you're not the only one, Who feels a burden breaking down their door. Your words helped me float, then made me drown. I hurt every time you came around. You know that you'll only burn me down. That you'll only burn me down. So cast your wicked shadow on the day, And bury all the ones who wish you well. 'Cause strangers only see your smiling face, And all attempts of reaching you have failed. Your words helped me float, then made me drown. I hurt every time you came around. You know that you'll only burn me down. And I won't let you burn me down. Your words helped me float, then made me drown. I hurt every time you came around. You know that you'll only burn me down. That you'll only burn me down. That you'll only burn me down.

The Deep End 04:03
I saw the way that you moved, When you couldn't find a thing left to lose. If you're wanting the truth, you looked like a fool. The pain was settling in. Your mind refused to see the other end. So it took everything else, and left you alone. Alone oh... But you leaped into the deep end, Without a rope. And now, I'm grieving, but you need it. You'll make it home. You sure put up a fight, Trying to get out of the night. While wishing deep in your bones that you were home. You must have hated yourself. So alone, you thought that no one could help. I hope I'm proving you wrong, and you can move on. Move on, ohhh... But you leaped into the deep end, Without a rope. And now, I'm grieving, but you need it. You'll make it home. And all your pain, give it away now. All your pain, give it away now. All your pain, give it away now. All your pain, give it away... But you leaped into the deep end, Without a rope. And now, I'm grieving, but you need it. You'll make it home. You'll make it home. You'll make it home.

Illusion 04:01
The vacancy's always around. It constantly wears her out. Her mother was taken too soon, and it's forever an open wound. She tries her best. She walks around town on her own, 'Cause she doesn't wanna go home. She runs to her past for support, 'Cause her future looks so unsure. If she only knew. Our world is some illusion, Just souls with no conclusion. Our world is some illusion. She picks up a broken heart, And gives it a brand new scar. She carries a tune in her head, One full of old regrets. If she only knew. Our world is some illusion, Just souls with no conclusion. Our world is some illusion. Our world is some illusion, Just souls with no conclusion. Our world is some illusion.

The Road 04:06
A force that I don't understand is driving me to undiscovered land. It's like I'm on the open road, in a car that has a mind all of it's own. It's better that I don't know where, This road is gonna go nowhere. It's better that I don't know where, This road is gonna go somewhere. Do I have to know what is leading me where? I'm moving slow but I'm on my way there. One day I'll wake up and I'll be aware. Until that moment... It's better that I don't know where, This road is gonna go nowhere. It's better that I don't know where, This road is gonna go somewhere. Taking one turn at a time, exploring every corner of my mind. I'm not concerned with where I've been, yeah these eyes are straight ahead until the end. Do I have to know what is leading me where? I'm moving slow but I'm on my way there. One day I'll wake up and I'll be aware. Until that moment... It's better that I don't, It's better that I don't. It's better that I don't. This road is gonna go somewhere.

I can't find a reason to not walk away. Oh, what a shadow on a bright summer day. You had me worried that I'd lost my mind. And though it ain't easy to leave this behind, When the cold rising tide washes over us, Baby we won't stand a chance. 'Cause in the dark of the night, it takes the both of us, To rescue this empty romance. But I hope you find what it is you need. I hope it helps knowing that it isn't me. The world looks so different through your pair of eyes. And all of your doings keep me up at night. So when the cold rising tide washes over us, Baby we won't stand a chance. 'Cause in the dark of the night, it takes the both of us, To rescue this empty romance It's out of my hands, it's over my head. So when the cold rising tide washes over us, Baby we won't stand a chance. 'Cause in the dark of the night, it takes the both of us, To rescue this empty romance. I can't find a reason to not walk away.
